Creativity:
My commitment level to this project was very high, on a scale of 1 to 10 it was definitely over a 10. I went to great lengths to go beyond what the teacher asked of me, I had to start over about 5 times, I had to change pictures twice to make sure I could get the best quality work. I used Adobe Illustrator so i used both old a new technique in one, since im not use to Adobe Illistrator i consider it a new technique. I love my self! thats how i related to this project.
Concept:
Myself appealed me.! i didnt like the fact that i had to go over my picture that was already super cute with paint. Nothing in this painting is unapperentn to the audience! What you see is what you get in this project!
Craftsmanship:
I didnt have to develop any ideas because i was just recreating a picture of myself. I didnt prepare any plans, i never do, becuase half of the time i cant go along with my own plans, so i just go with the flow! Durning this project, i changed my picture twice, thats really the only problem i had because i had to completely restart my project. I just made sure my picture was very creative and similar to my face.
Composition:
Elements and principles i used while creating my selfie include; Pattern unity, line, color, and texture. When i look at my artwok i see that of course its a personal statement. The most dominant priniple in my artwork was Pattern unity, I guess, I t effects my composition because with out Pattern unity it would look like a lot of weird colors put together in no certain form, also it would not have the letters on my shirt. The medium I used is Adobe Illustrator.
Completeness:
Like I said in my Creativity portion, I had to change my picture twice, because I saw how good others look with a simple picture so I did want to over do myself with something I would not complete or have a product I was not completely in love with. I don't ever really look at the principles and element and say "ohh I need to add that" I just go with the flow of my artwork if something looks good that fits in with the elements and principles I leave it there. I asked you, Mrs. Watts if you liked it and if it look finished to you, then I went back and made sure nothing was white or uncolored, then I looked at it and said its done! I'm Proud of my artwork because it turned out to look really good, it actually looks like the picture I started with and not some random chick off the side of the street! :)
